#7  (Oct 4th) We are now in Bimini after a windy two day sail.  We did another Children's Crusade here yesterday with about 40 in attendance.  Doing a special youth service tonight and preaching at two churches tomorrow before setting off for home early next week.  Praise God for another successful mission trip, with over a dozen saved, many helped, much supplies delivered, and once again a renewed sense of God's great calling in our lives.  Watch for our Fall Newsletter coming to the website soon.

#8  (Oct 15th) As we sailed across the Gulf Stream heading home towards Florida our rudder struck something in the heavy seas, possibly a submerged crate.  After diving under the boat David discovered that the rudder post was bent.  We decided to continue on up the coast.  While passing offshore of Jacksonville, Fla., we were overtaken by a strong storm.  The force of the wind in the sails fighting the rudder caused it to break off completely and it sank away into the deep!  Now, without a rudder, our options were limited.  We were only a few miles out so, by back-winding the jib, we had limited steering and were able to motor near to the inlet where a tow boat brought us into the intracoastal waterway.  We are now here while David fabricates a temporary rudder, and tries to do necessary engine repairs discovered after we anchored.  Keep us in prayer!  It's been a long journey but worth every moment
